James and Sarah Milne, homestead just south of Putman, KS. First car the the homestead. Homesteaded in 1869 at Putman, Kansas. James cut trees, lumber and went back and forth to Wichita, Kansas helping to build the city. He was a lumberjack in his early years before homesteading in Kansas.
