Kevin Michael Regier

Kevin Michael Regier, 28, died on Sunday (June 20, 2010) in Newton.

He was born on Dec. 12, 1981, in Newton to Gordon K. Regier and Ella J. Scott. Kevin was employed as a machine operator for Legg Co. in Halstead. He enjoyed throwing the baseball with his sons and tea parties with his special little princess, Maddey. Kevin was an avid sports fan and followed the L.A. Dodgers and the Pittsburgh Steelers.

He is survived by his life-long love, Jennifer Vajnar, Newton; two sons, Joseph Romero and Dylan Vajnar of Newton; his special little girl, Maddey Vajnar-Danby of Newton; father, Gordon (Cynthia) Regier of Elbing; his mother, Ella J. Kelly of Hesston; two sisters, Kimberly Regier-McCallister of Kansas City, Mo., and Melisha Regier of Wichita; two brothers, Travis Kelly and Garrett Kelly of Hesston; maternal grandmother, Dianah Richardson; one niece; three nephews; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Preceding him in death were his paternal grandparents, Robert and Hilda Regier; maternal grandfathers, Emerson Scott and Bill Richardson; and triplet siblings, Rowdy, Megan and Zachary Regier.
Visitation will be from 1 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Broadway Colonial Funeral Home in Newton, with the family greeting friends from 7 to 8 p.m.
Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. on Friday at St. Matthew’s Episcopal Church in Newton.
Burial will follow in the Greenwood Cemetery in Newton.
