Orison Grant

Orison Grant, Colored, died at his home in Highland township , Wednesday, February 3rd. He was a soldier in Company K. 102 Regiment U. S. C. I. He came to Kansas and settled on a farm in Highland township in 1871 where he has since lived. The people dubbed him "General" which title always pleased him. He was respected by all who knew him. He is survived by his wife Mary Anderson Grant
