Obituary

Prouty--In Macon township, on the 2nd inst, at 11 o'clock a. m., of pneumonia, Mary L. Prouty, wife of Amos Prouty, aged sixty years, lacking five days. We have lived companions a little over thirty nine and a half years. All who knew the deceased knew her to be a practical christian. There are many cups of sorrow that are very bitter, but we cannot taste the dregs of the bitterest cup until we part with a companion. A. Prouty Feb. 4,1877
