Obituary

Death came to to release Mrs. Maria E. Steffen Huuss at ten 0'clock this morning at the home of her daughter Mrs. Chris Harms at 920 South Pine street, as the result of a complication asthma and flu. Mrs. Steffen was born on February 9, 1847 making her 86 years of age on th day of her death. She had been a resident of Newton for fifty one years and of late years since being widowed has made her home with her daughter, Mrs. Harms. Two other daughters Survive her Mrs. Augusta Sattler, Walton and Mrs.Bertha Henmig, Wellington. She was also the mother of five sons, all of whom preceded her in death. Fred W.
