LOVELAND, Colo. — Vernon Floyd Havens, 70, died Wednesday (July 26, 2006) after a two-year battle with Cancer.
He was born April 19, 1936, to Howard C. and Lucia M. (Sattler) Havens in Newton. He married Jacque C. Knott on May 13, 1975, in Halstead.

He retired from K-DOT in 1997 after 26 years.

Survivors (PRIVATE)

He was preceded in death by: his parents; three sisters and two brothers-in-law, Janice K. Havens, Brenda and husband Rick Porter and Shirley and husband Marion George.

Memorial service will be 1:30 p.m. Wednesday at St. Luke's Presbyterian Church, 808 E. Sixth Street, Newton.

There will be private graveside services.
