Mrs. Lillian Aldean Brooker, wife of O. R. Brooker, Newton automobile dealer, passed away shortly before 3 o'clock Sunday afternoon at the home 619 East Fith street, after a lingering illness. She was 49 years old.
Mrs. Brooker was born October 17, 1888 in Pratt and spent most of her life in Kansas. The family has resided in Newton for about eight years, coming here from Anthony when Mr. Brooker became local Ford distributor.
Reserved and quiet, Mrs. Brooker took a keen interest in her home and family and was known as a devoted mother. She had not been active in recent months and been bedfast during the weeks of her illness.
Besides her husband, Mrs. Brooker is survived by three daughters, Miss. Marguerite Brooker, Mrs. James Manges and Mrs. Harold Adamson, all of this city. She also leaves one sister, Mrs. Laura Helpman of Redondo Beach, Calif., and two brothers, Roy Green hutchinson and Byron Green of Redondo Beach.
Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday afternoon at 2:30 o'clock at the First Christian church, of which Mrs. Brooker was an active member, with Rev. Logan Martin in charge. Entombment will be in Greenwood Abbey.
