Musser, Bertha

The Newton Kansan

Mrs. Bertha Louise Musser, 79, Newton Rt. 4, a lifetime resident in the Newton and Walton area, died this morning at the Kansas Christian Home. services will be conducted at 10 a.m. Wednesday at Zion Lutheran Church, of which she was a member. The Rev. David Johns will officiate and burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery. She was born June 24, 1902, at Walton, the daughter of Fred and Augusta Sattler. On May 24, 1928, she married Russell G. Musser at Wichita. He died July 8, 1977. In addition to the church Mrs. Musser was also a member of the Zion Ladies Aid. Survivors include five sons, Wayne of Torrance. Calif., and Frank, Marvin, Alvin and lloyd, all of Newton; two daughters, Mrs. Betty Demain of Omaha, Neb., and Mrs. Maxine Hall of Atlantic, Iowa; three brothers, Art and Adolph Sattler of Walton, and William Sattler of Udall; four sisters, Edith [Mrs. Pete] Schroeder of Newton;Mrs. Luella Boyer of Sterling Ill., Eleanor [Mrs. Horace] Matthews of Wicita, and Ethel [Mrs. Bill] Ohlerking of Aston, Pa. A daughter, Jean, preceded her in death. Newton Kansan Sept. 21,1981
