Obituary

Asad V. Williamson was born on May 10th, 1876 on his family's farm south of Halstead. He was the son of James Livingston and Chrissie (Groom) Williamson.

In February of 1898 Asa married Iva Sanner. They had three children. Asa was in the laundry business for twenty five years. He was a member of the M.W.A.,W.O.W.,A.T.A. and auxiliary organizations. He served for many years in the Kansas National Guard.

In the last two years of his life his health failed and at the age of 55 he died at 7:55pm in his room at the Hotel Ripley. He left behind two daughters (Lillian Jenzen and Florence Williamson), a son (Caroll), and seven brothers and sisters (Bert, Anna Molzen, John, Mrs. Wellman, Peter L., Addie Reeves and Harriet Wells). He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers (Nathan G. in 1903) and an infant brother George.
