Mrs. Josephine(Gravel) LaGree, daughter of Joseph and Salina (Carifel) Gravel was born April 21, 1874 at Fowler, Illinois and passed away at the Bethel Deaconess hospital in Newton, Kansas on July 15, 1947 at 7:20 a. m., following a long illness. She was admitted to the hospital July 1st. She had reached the age of 73 years, 2 months and 24 days.

She was united in marriage to Ferdinand H. LaGree near Moundridge, Kansas, on June 7, 1891. Mr. LaGree passed away in 1933.

Mrs. LaGree is survived by one son, Russell J. LaGree, his wife and three grandchildren; Joan, Ferdinand and Robert all of rural Hesston and the following brothers and sisters; Napoleon Gravel, Tonkawa, Okla.; Mrs. Charles Royston, Comanche, Okla., and Mrs. Will (Lola) Miller, Newton, Ks. Six sisters and three brothers preceded her in death.
