C. V. BEEBEE PASSED AWAY AT THE SANTA FE HOSPITAL IN TOPEKA

The funeral for Charles V. Beebee, whose death was announced in last night's issue, will be held tomorrow occurring at 10 o'clock at the family residence, 308 West Fifth. W. A. Elliott, his pastor, will officiate. The music will be furnished by the Baptist choir.

The deceased was born in Henrietta, Monroe Co., New York, September 3, 1841 and was one of a family consisting of five sons and four daughters. Three brothers and three sisters survive him. At the age of nineteen years he went to Jackson county, Michigan where he resided for eighteen years. While there he married and to this union were born six children, five of whom are living; Mrs. Houghton, Mrs. W. S. Grandy, Mrs. Street of Texas, Mrs. Rance Johnson and Mrs. J. A. Cox, all of whom will be present at the funeral.

In 1879 the family came to Kansas locating in Washington county, where they lived until coming to Newton some two years ago.

Mr. Beebee united with the Baptist church several years ago , and on coming to Newton became identified with the Baptist church here. He was a modest, retiring man, not given to much speaking, but because of his kindness of heart and consistent living won many friends. He will be greatly missed in church where his face was seldom missed from the services.

The sympathy of the community will go out to the families in this hour of bereavement.
