Francis N. "Chick" Lowman, 62, MidTown Towers, Apt. 514, died Friday evening at Bethel Deaconess Hospital.
He was born July 6, 1912 at Putnam, Kan., the son of Harrison M. and Maggie Lowman. He attended schools in Newton and returned here 13 years ago. He was a retired employee of the Newton School System.
He was a member of the First Christian Church, the American Legion, the 40 and 8, and Fraternal Order of Eagles.
He married Mildred E. Wharton. She survives of the home. Other survivors include one daughter, Mrs. Robert Quick, Socorro, N. M.; one sister, Mrs. W. R. Schroeder, Newton; six grandchildren.
Services will be held at 2:30 p.m. Monday in Petersen Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Gerald E. Housh officiating. Burial will be in Geenwood Cemeteru.
