Obituary

February 9, 1899. Mrs. Martha Yewell Dotson, living on west seventh street died at 6:30 this morning at the family residence. Some days since she was taken with the grippe, which developed into pneumonia and caused her death. Mrs. Dotson was the widow of Rev. W. A. Dotson, who died in this city March, 1879, while pastor of the M. E. church at this place. Mrs. Dotson was born in Daviess county, Kentucky Feb. 1, 1835, and was sixty-five years old on the first day of the present month. She was married to Rev. W. A. Dotson in 1853, and resided in Kentucky until 1877, when they moved to Kansas. In March, 1878, they moved to this city, since which time Mrs. Dotson has been a resident here. Her two children, W. S. Dotson and Mrs. Flora Hulick, wife of Walter Hulick, also resides here and were at her bedside when death came. the funeral will be held at the M. E. Church tomorrow, Friday afternoon, at 2:30, and the services will be conducted by Dr. E. C. Beach
