Obituary

Dora Irene Schmidt, four years seven months and 26 days old daughter of Isaac J. and Martha (Richart) Schmidt, died at the Axtell Christian hospital on Sunday evening, August 30, following an operation for appendicitis. The little one was brought into the hospital the day before in a critical condition and the operation was performed immediately in an attempt to save her life. The little one is survived by her parents and a brother, Raymond Leroy, three years of age. The funeral services will be held on Wednesday afternoon at two o'clock at the family home in Pleasant township, eight miles east of the college, and at the Grace Hill (Gnadenberg)Church at three o'clock, the Reverends J. J. Ratzlaff and G. N. Harms officiating. Interment will be in the Grace Hill Church cemetery. Dora Irene will be taken from the Sprinkler Mortuary to her home on Tuesday afternoon.
