Mrs. P. M. Hoisington of Newton, who passed away at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Harry Hart in Wichita Monday will be taken from the Sprinker mortuary to Hoisington home at 112 East Seventh Wednesday afternoon,. where her three daughters ar now, Mrs. Hart, Mrs. R. A. Clymer of ElDorado, and Miss Margaret Hoisington.
Mrs. Hoisington was born at Howell, Mich., on January 18, 1861 as Katherine Barber Gregory, the daughter of Edward B. Gregory and Sarah Lucinda Ward. In 1885 she was married to the late Col. Perry Milo Hoisington, and soon afterwards they settled in Kansas, making their home in Newton. Col. Hoisington passed away on March 21, 1933, and was mourned by the entire state, being prominent in many circles.
Mrs. Hoisington was an active member of the Presbyterian church here, and was a member for many years of the Ladies Reading Circle and of the Colonial Dames.
Besides her three daughters, she leaves one son, Lieut. Col. Edward Gregory Hoisington of Baltimore, Md.
