Obituary

Newton-Republican Dec 22,1941 Fay Albert DeWalt, well known resident of Newton, died suddenly Sunday evening at his home, 131 Southwest Fifth street. He had been ill for three months, Mr. DeWalt was employed as a carpenter for many years, but had been inactive in recent months,due to poor health. He suffered a stroke last night died about 11 o'clock. Born March29,1873, in Indianapolis, Ia. Mr. DeWalt had lived in Newton Since 1907 and was past 68 years of age. He is survived his widow, Claudia, and a daughter Mrs. Thelma Thomas.Burial will be in Greenwood cemetery.
