Spudig, Louisa
Evening Kansan Republican
Evening Kansan Republican, Saturday June 23, 1906.
Louisa Anna Spudig, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Spudig, died at 1:30 o'clock this morning at the home of her parents, 425 East Eighth street, aged 19 years, four months and seven days. Typhoid-pneumonia was the cause of her death.
Miss Spudig had been ill for the past five months and since the second day of March has been unable to leave her bed. Although the ravages of the disease had caused her great suffering she bore her trials with extreme fortitude and was seldom heard to complain. Everything that could be done for her recovery was done, but such was not to be and she passed away this morning at 1:30.
Miss Spudig was born in Newton February 16, 1887, and has continuously made her home here with her parents since that time. She was an employee of McManus millinery store for two seasons, but just prior to her illness was one of the force of salesladies employed at the Q. Z. store. During her short life she made many friends who deeply regret her untimely taking away.
In addition to her parents there are left to mourn her loss a brother Fred Spudig Jr., of Trinidad, Colo., a sister Mrs. Will Westerfield of the same place and Mrs. Ed. Hartenberger, Mrs. Ed Lattau and Mrs. Fred Brant of this city.
