Obituary

Steven Danny Moran III, 37, died Friday (Sept. 10, 2010) at his home in Newton.

He was born on April 1, 1973, in Newton. Steven attended schools in the Newton school district and graduated from Newton High School in 1991. While he was in high school, Steven helped to start the first Newton High Soccer program.
After high school, he attended a trade school, with interest in the mechanic program.

On July 17, 2005, he married Heather D. Blair in Newton.
Steven enjoyed watching Nascar races and soccer games. He also loved his family dearly.

Survivors include his wife, Heather of Newton; daughter, Elizabeth Dawn of Newton; mother, Kathy Moran of Newton; and his maternal grandmother, Mary Moore of Newton.
Preceding him in death was his maternal grandfather.

Visitation will be from 1 to 8 p.m. on Tuesday at Broadway Colonial Funeral Home in Newton. The family will greet friends from 6 to 8 p.m. A memorial service will be at 2 p.m. on Wednesday at the Country Acres Baptist Church in Wichita. The Rev. Kelly Randolph will preside. Private family graveside services will be prior to the memorial service.
