Stephanie Lee Ann Owens Leichty, 24, died Sunday (Sept. 5, 2010) in Hesston.

She was born on June 20, 1986, in French Camp, Calif., the daughter of James Lee and Alma May Hartman Owens.

She was a homemaker and mother. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Newton.

Survivors include her son, Braiden James Leichty of Hesston; her parents, James Lee and Alma May Owens of Tuttle, Okla.; seven brothers, Michael of Italy, Texas, Tim of Copperopolis, Calif., David of Tribbey, Okla., Stephen of Hesston, Edward of Oklahoma City, Okla., Timothy of Tuttle, and Neil of Tuttle; and three sisters, Antoinette Shannon of New Castle, Okla., Angelina Salser of Tuttle, and Ali Owens of Tuttle. She was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Alfred and Bernice Hartman; and paternal grandparents, Benjamin and Ava Owens.

Funeral services will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Newton, with Bishop Austin Babcock officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the church.
Burial will follow in Hesston City Cemetery in Hesston. There are no memorials.
