Obituary

Anna Ruth Beck, 85, of Hesston, passed away on Monday (Sept. 6, 2010)

She was born on Sept. 25, 1924, in Harper to Lucinda Ella Neuhauser and Reuben M. Weaver.
She married Howard Beck on Sept. 26, 1943, in Harper. She worked as a bookkeeper and secretary and was a member of Hesston Mennonite Church. She was involved with many other community, church and college organizations.

She is survived by her son, Duane of Raleigh, N.C.; daughter, Marlene Yoder of Battle Creek, Mich.; brother, Dale Weaver of Hutchinson; sisters, Alta Fry of Elk Falls, Mary Shue of Harper and Wanda Good of Harrisonburg, Va.; five grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Howard; and daughter, Lucinda Jo Beck.

Visitation will be from 3 to 5 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Friday at Hesston Mennonite Church. Funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Hesston Mennonite Church, with John Murray and Cheryl Hershberger officiating.
There will be no burial, as he body has been bequeathed to medical science. In lieu of flowers, memorials are requested to Hesston Mennonite Church Building Fund, or Hesston College Weaver Scholarship Fund.
