Longtime plumber and boilermaker Walter M. Lolmaugh, 96, of Wheat State Manor in Whitewater, died Sunday [Aug. 4, 1991], at Wheat State Manor.
Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday at Petersen's Funeral Home Chapel, with the Rev. Ronald Gloe officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Newton.
He was born March 9, 1895, in Newton, the son of Harmon and Maggie [Eitlein] Lolmaugh. In November 1920, he married Helen Thimm in Newton. She died May 3, 1983. He was a member of the Newton American Legion Post #2 and the VFW, and he was a lifetime Newton-area resident.
Survivors include one son, Roy Lolmaugh of Fairfield Bay, Ark.; one daughter, Loraine Wiseman of Wichita; three grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
