Dunn, Robert B

Newton Evening Kansan

Newton Evening Kansan, Tuesday, December 13, 1910

The friends of R. B. Dunn were greatly surprised this morning to hear of his death which occurred at half after two this morning. Mr. Dunn had not been well, but was at work at William Kreuger's store on Saturday. All day Sunday he was ill but thought that he felt better yesterday. At midnight last night he became rapidly worse and passed away shortly afterwards. He has been a sufferer with asthma and the heart became seriously affected and was the direct cause of his death. Cardiac asthma is the professional term used.

Mr. Dunn was fifty years of age and was born in Jaynesville, Wisconsin. He came to Kansas with his parents forty years ago and for more than a quarter of a century has been a resident of Harvey county, living until about ten years ago in Macon township.

For a time after coming to Newton he owned a grocery store on the south side, but of late has been employed as a clerk in the Kreuger store.

He is survived by Mrs. Dunn and four children, also a sister in Oklahoma.

The funeral arrangements have not yet been made, but is probable that they will be held Thursday morning. Rev. J. C. Gibney, of whose church he was a member, will conduct the service.
