Funeral services for Ralph D. Finnell, 70, former Newton resident, will be held Wednesday at 10:00 a. m. at Broadway Mortuary in Wichita. Burial will be in greenwood cemetery at Newton.
He was Born Aug 4, 1892 at Arkansas City and moved to Wichita from newton in 1919. He was superintendent of the Ripley plant of the Kansas Gas and Electric Co. for several years before retiring in 1957.
He was a veteran of World war I, past president of the Kansas Engineering Society, past president of the Electrical Engineering Society, a member of Sunflower Masonic Lodge and the Congregational Church.
Survivors include his widow, Bernice; a son, Ralph J., of Wichita; two sisters, Miss Nell Finnell and Mrs. Irvin Merrell of Newton; one brother Charles, of Ozark, Ark., and two grandchildren.
