Dilts, Patricia

Patricia J. “Patsy” Dilts, 50, of Wichita, was peacefully called home with her family by her side on Wednesday (Oct. 27, 2010).
She was born on April 23, 1960, in West Point, Miss., to Lloyd and Martha (Mische) Brown. She was a loving caring wife, cherished mother and devoted Catholic who received the best gift of all: her wings. Patsy was heavily involved with her church and participated in numerous activities. She showed tremendous courage, strength, faith and unconditional love. She impacted many people’s lives and inspired all who knew her.
Patsy is survived by her daughter, Jessie Dilts of Wichita; two sisters, Carol Rizo and her husband Chico, and Mary Lover, all of Wichita; two nieces; four nephews; one great-niece; and one great-nephew. Also surviving are a host of friends and loved ones who were part of her extended family. She is preceded in death by her husband Daniel Dilts; and her parents, Lloyd and Martha (Mische) Brown.
Visitation will be from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday and 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday, with the family present from 2 to 4 p.m., at Petersen Funeral Home in Newton. Recitation of the Holy Rosary will be at 1 p.m. Monday, followed by Mass of the Christian Burial at 1:30 p.m., both at St. Mary’s Catholic Church at Eighth and Main streets in downtown Newton. Burial will follow in the Hesston City Cemetery in Hesston.
Memorial suggestions are the Jessie Dilts Education Fund with Citizens State Bank of Hesston, Harry Hynes Memorial Hospice or St. Mary’s Catholic Church, all in care of Petersen Funeral Home.
