Morris Congdon Hurt

Sedgwick Pantagraph 7 April 1910

Morris Condon was seriously injured in an accident at Newton Tuesday morning while crossing the street where he was hit by a runaway team that became frightened at the blowing of the Santa Fe shop whistle. He was knocked down and the end of the buggy tongue struck him in the center of the forehead, making a gash in the scalp nearly five inches long. He was picked up and carried to the storeroom, and later taken to the hospital.

A phone message to relatives in this city Tuesday evening stated that Morris had regained consciousness and the doctor though he stood a fair chance to recover.
