Obituary

Lillian E. Eaton, 95, died Sunday (March 1, 1998) at Wheat State Manor in Whitewater.

She was born Dec. 26, 1902 in Sand Coulee, Mont., to Isaac Mattson and Amelia Sophia Thompson Mattson. She married Willard Eaton Jan. 8, 1944, in Bremerton, Wash. He preceeded her in death in September 1994.

She was a seventh grade teacher in the State of Montana. She lived most of her life in Montana before moving to Kansas with her daughter. She was a graduate of Sand Coulee High School and Dillon College of Teaching.

Survivors include one daughter, Judy Jones of Newton; two grandchildren, and two great grandchildren. She also was preceded in death by one son, John Eaton.

There was a cremation.
