Donnie Shane Chappell

Donnie Shane Chappell, 42, transportation manager for WSKT Trucking in Wichita, died Monday (Feb. 28, 2005) at Wesley Medical Center in Wichita.

He was born Jan. 11, 1963, to Donnie Rex and Clara Dee (Hurst) Chappell in Denver. They survive of Burrton. He married Tresha Marie Hubbart Nov. 12, 1988, in Wichita. She survives. He attended the Ark Church in Maize and the Harley-Davidson Club in Wichita.

Survivors include: sons, Grant and Devin Chappell of the home; daughters, Bailey and Hannah Chappell of the home; stepdaughters, Leslie Moore of Colorado Springs, Colo.; three brothers, Allan Chappell of Versailles, Ky., Randy Chappell of Burrton and Conan Chappell of Andover; a sister, Tami Sexton of Burrton; and a grandchild.

Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Wednesday with family greeting friends from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at Kaufman Funeral Home in Halstead. Burial will be in Burrton Cemetery. Memorials have been established with Victory in the Valley in care of the funeral home, 418 Chestnut, Halstead, KS 67056.
