Obituary

Robert Bruce Lagree, of Tonganoxie, died in his sleep on Wednesday (Aug. 11, 2010).

Robert was born on Nov. 5, 1938, in Newton, to Ruby Smith and Russell Lagree. Siblings included Russell Ferd and Joan. He graduated with the class of 1956 from Newton High School. He served in the U.S. Army Reserves. He attended Kansas City Barber College and worked as a barber for some time before becoming an insurance adjuster for Harding Glass. Following retirement, Robert continued to maintain many friendships.

He is mourned by his son, Adam; former wife, Pam; and his sister, Joan.

A memorial visitation will take place from 2 to 4 p.m. today at Amos Family Funeral Home at 10901 Johnson Drive (off of Nieman) in Shawnee Graveside services will take place at a later time in his hometown of Newton.

In lieu of flowers, it is suggested that donations be made to any appropriate charity.
