Obituary

Marjorie Ann (Selley) Mitchem, 91, retired Henry’s sales clerk, beloved mother and grandmother, passed away on Monday (Nov. 8, 2010).

She was born in Benkleman, Neb., to Samuel Wells Selley and Cora Emma (Baker) Selley.

She is survived by her children, Sharon (Gary) Base, Randy (Kristina) Mitchem, Rick (Janice) Mitchem and Joe (Lea Ann) Mitchem; grandchildren, Doug (Teri) Base, Dan (Polly) Base, Brian (Kimi) Mitchem, Megan (Jason) RoTramel, Aimee (Corey) Poore, Jacob, John and Leslea Mitchem; great-grandchildren, Lindsay, Samuel, Katie, Audrey, Brittley, Madelaine, Asher, Stella, Courtnee and Wesley. She was preceded in death by her husband, John Mitchem; daughter, Beverly Krausse; grandsons, Kory and Kary Krausse; parents, Samuel and Cora Selley; five brothers; and four sisters.

Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. today at Baker Funeral Home in Valley Center. Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Newton Christian Church, 210 Southport Drive in Newton. In lieu of flowers, memorials can be made to Newton Christian Church.
