Buller, Agnes

Agnes Marie Buller, 96, went to be with her Lord on Monday (Jan. 12, 2009) in Inman.
She was born Oct. 2, 1912, to Henry and Lena Regier in Plains, the second of eight children. Agnes accepted the Lord at a young age and attended Oklahoma Bible Academy in Meno, Okla., where she met and later married Virgil Buller. They enjoyed 53 wonderful years together before he preceded her in death in 1989.
Agnes was known for her baking, her sewing, her generosity and her love for children. She was involved with Child Evangelism Fellowship for 34 years and was the regional director for CEF for two years. She was a Sunday school and DVBS teacher for many years. Agnes spent her final years in the Pleasant View Nursing Home in Inman, where she quickly became a favorite patient, spreading her sweet spirit, gentleness and humor to everyone.
Agnes leaves behind a family who will miss her. Survivors include children, Milton Claassen of Newton, Gloria and Ralph Goossen of Friend, Neb., Sharon and Alan DeBoer of Pagosa Springs, Colo., and Anita and Gary Pryor of San Diego; grandchildren, Dale and Ann Claassen, Kendall and Carol Claassen, Craig and Laura Claassen, Bruce and Amy Claassen, Debra and Paul Segner, Kimberly and Dwayne Bottom, Brian Goossen, Sharalyn and Baron Brandstrom, Darrin and Tiffany DeBoer, Shannon DeBoer, Bob and Maria Pryor; 20 great-grandchildren; one sister, Tillie Schmidt; and two brothers, Arnold Regier and Eugene Regier. She was preceded in death by her parents, Henry and Lena Regier; husband Virgil; daughter, LaVonda Claassen; sisters, Anna Koehn and Esther Epp; and brothers, Dave Regier and Henry Regier.
Viewing for friends and family will be from 1 to 9 p.m. Thursday at Petersen Funeral Home in Newton, with the family receiving friends from 6:30 to 8 p.m. Her Celebration of Life service will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Newton Bible Church.
