Mason James Bomberry

Mason James Bomberry, 24, of Newton, died Sunday (Aug. 22, 2010) at Newton Medical Center.

He was born on Aug. 5, 1986, in Wichita. He moved to Newton in 2005 and worked at the Newton McDonald’s Restaurant since 2006 where he was a manager. Mason loved to write music, he was an avid sports fan and was loved by many. He and his brothers experienced a life that would draw them closer to one another that will endure forever in an unbreakable bond.

Mason is survived by his father and stepmother, Hank Bomberry and Shelly Trupe of El Dorado; his mother and stepfather, Annie and Anthony Bourland of Newton; three brothers, Ryan Bomberry of Scotttsdale, Ariz., Jesse Bomberry and Alex Bomberry, both of Newton; two sisters, Sasha Bomberry of Buffalo, N.Y., and Sophie Bomberry of El Dorado; 12 stepbrothers and stepsisters; and his grandmother, Marjorie Bomberry of Niagra Falls, N.Y.
He was preceded in death by grandparents, Rudy and Lillian Bryan and Chester Bomberry.

Friends may call after 1 p.m. Thursday at Broadway Colonial Funeral Home in Newton. A time of sharing memories with the family will be at 4 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
