Enns, Wilma
Wilma I. (Hershberger) Enns of Overland Park passed away on Dec. 1, 2010.
Wilma was born on July 14, 1928 (Bastille Day), to Elmer and Amy (Erb) Hershberger. She married Myron (Sonny) Enns, and they had two children, Maribeth Burns of Leawood and Thomas Enns of Osawatomie.
She is survived by daughter, Maribeth, and husband Les Burns; son, Thomas Enns; grandsons, Jeff Burns and wife Courtney of Kansas City, Mo., and Brad Burns of Chicago; brothers, Tillman Hershberger of Sapulpa, Okla., and Lloyd Hershberger and wife Lola Mae of Wichita; sisters, Evie Dyck of Hesston, and Marjorie and husband Lee England of Spokane, Wash.; sisters-in-law Lucille Layne and husband Doug of Denton, Texas; Delda Hershberger of Platteville, Wis., and Jane Hershberger of Newton; brothers-in law Ray Spicher of Kansas City, Mo., and Bill Garrett of Hillsboro, Ore.; and many nieces and nephews. Our loss is heaven’s gain; she was a sweet, beautiful woman. Wilma was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Willis, Robert, James and Glen; sisters, Elizabeth Spicher, Edith Dunn and Lola Faye Garrett.
Burial will be at 1 p.m. Saturday at East Lawn Cemetery in Zimmerdale. A memorial service will follow after the burial at the Chapel, Salem United Methodist Church, First and Old Main streets in Newton. Memorial contributions may be made to the Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 7851 W. 119th St. in Overland Park, KS 66213 in memory of Wilma Enns.
