Floretta Irene (Nichols) Roberson

Floretta I. (Nichols) Roberson passed away peacefully on Nov. 16, 2010, at Meadowlark Care Home in Wichita.

She was born on July 28, 1926, to Telva Carter Nichols and Walter T. Nichols in Newton. She graduated from Halstead High School in 1944. She married Jack Roberson in 1945. Their three children survive: Richard (Patty) Roberson of Dallas, Timothy (Cindy) Roberson of Meadville, Miss., and Jill Roberson (Tina) of West End, N.C. She had seven grandchildren and one great-grandson. She also is survived by one sister, Donna (George) Glazener of Plano, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister, Dolores Walton Haldiman.

A memorial service will be at 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Petersen Funeral Home in Newton. Internment will follow at Halstead City Cemetery. Memorials are suggested to Southern Care Hospice, Epic Center, 301 N. Main, Wichita, KS 67202, or in care of Petersen Funeral Home.
