Obituary

Bruce K. Otte, 59, died on Friday (Jan. 7, 2011) as the result of a farm accident.

He was born on Jan. 20, 1951, to Henry and Adeline Vogts Otte in Moundridge. He was a self-employed farmer. He married Diane A. Gehring on Aug. 7, 1970, in Moundridge.

He is survived by his wife, Diane; daughter, Carina and Brent Knight of Moundridge; son, Ryan and Timmi Otte of Lee’s Summit, Mo.; grandchildren, Rachel, Emily, Joshua, Hayden and Gage; mother, Adeline Otte of Canton; brother, Roger and Cheryll Otte of Canton and their children, Matthew and Chris Hill; parents-in-law, Homer and Neva Gehring of Moundridge; brother-in-law, Don and Robin Gehring of Morrison, Colo., and their children, Anna and Ezra; and a host of other relatives and friends.

Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Tuesday (Jan 11) with the family present from 6 until 8 p.m. at the Moundridge Funeral Home. The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. Wednesday (Jan 12) at the Immanuel Lutheran Church in rural Canton. Burial will be in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are suggested to the Immanuel Lutheran Church, in care of the funeral home.
