Obituary

Edith P. Darnall, 90, homemaker, died on Friday (Jan. 7, 2011) at Halstead Health and Rehabilitation.

She was born on June 16, 1920, to Rufus Byron and Alice (Reep) Mahaffey in Wichita. On May 8, 1949, she married James S. Darnall in Wichita, and he survives of Halstead.

Other survivors include a son, Edward Darnall; daughters, Joyce Jackson of Thornton, Colo., and Janet (Todd) McGinn of Olathe; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Duane Darnall; brothers, Vernon, Roy and Robert Mahaffey; and sisters, Marie and Bernice Mahaffey.
