Lois Vivian (Marcum) Walters, 84, Maxwell Flowers floral designer, beloved mother and sister, passed away on Tuesday (Jan. 4, 2011).

She was born in Turon to Otto Henry Marcum and Mildred (Riggs) Marcum.

She is survived by her daughter, Diane Walters and husband, J.R. Humphrey Jr. of Newton; brothers, Keith and wife, Marie Marcum of Great Bend and Frank and wife, Gladys Marcum of Plainville; sisters, Martha and husband, Ray Bennett of Spokane, Wash., and Crystal and husband, Larry Burrows of Pearlington, Miss. She was preceded in death by her husband, Al Walters and infant son, Allen Walters.

Services will be announced at a later date. Memorials can be designated to Caring Hands Humane Society, 1400 S.E . Third St., Newton, KS 67114. Baker Funeral Home in Valley Center is in charge of the arrangements.
