Obituary

Vincent J. Nikkel, 49, feed lot manager and real estate broker, passed away on Sunday (Jan. 9, 2011) at Hillsboro Community Hospital.

He was born on April 14, 1961, in Newton to Leon D. and Karen (Rodgers) Nikkel of Lehigh. He married Jessie Jost on Feb. 18, 1989, in Newton. He was a member of Hillsboro Mennonite Brethern Church.

He is survived by his wife, Jessie Nikkel of Hillsboro; parents, Leon D. and Karen Nikkel of Lehigh; daughters Jandi Nikkel of Hillsboro and Taylor Nikkel of Hillsboro.

Visitation will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Jost Funeral Home in Hillsboro, with the family present from 6 to 8 p.m. The funeral service will be at 10 a.m. Thursday at Hillsboro Mennonite Brethern Church. Pastor Loyal Martin will officiate. Burial will be in Ebenfeld Cemetery in rural Hillsboro. A memorial fund has been established with Childrens Education Fund. Jost Funeral Home of Hillsboro is in charge of the arrangements.
