Obituary

Ray Smith, brother of Mrs. J. M. Nebergall of Newton, died this morning at Abbyville.

A former resident of Harvey County, Mr. Smith, had farmed in the Abbyville area for several years.

The body is being brought to Newton and funeral arrangements will be announced by Draper's Funeral Home.

SMITH FUNERAL

Funeral services for Alfred Ray Smith, 78, former Harvey County resident who died Friday at Abbyville, will be conducted Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. at Draper's Funeral Chapel.

The Rev. Clarence J Borger will officiate and burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.

A retired farmer, Mr. Smith was born Dec. 2, 1878 near Hesston, the son of Charles W. and Nancy Smith.

He is survived by four sisters, Mrs. J.M. Nebergall of Newton, Mrs. J. C. Webb of Abbyville, Mrs. Harry Rogers of Kansas City, Mo., and Mrs. Nellie Rutledge of Arlington, Kas.
