Hampshire, Tenn. Maxine Mae 'Peg' Hamm
Maxine Mae 'Peg' Hamm, 85, of Hampshire, Tenn., formerly of Bella Vista, Ark., died Monday, Nov. 13, 2006, at her home. She was born May 28, 1921, in Newton, Kan., to John Mack Nebergall and Edith Smith Nebergall.
She was a claims adjuster in the insurance industry. She was a member of the Order of the Eastern Star and the Ladies Auxiliary of the Veterans of Foreign Wars in Kansas. She was a member of the Bella Vista Community Church and was an avid golfer and bridge player.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Polk Hamm; a brother, Preston Earl Nebergall; and a sister, Hildred Denny.
Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Gerald Hamm and Mary Hamm of Hampshire; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Jim Nebergall and Betty Nebergall of St. George, Colo., and Russ Nebergall and Ruth Nebergall of Hesston, Kan.; a brother-in-law, Bud Denny of Guymon, Okla.; and a grandson, Brian Hamm of Hampshire.
A graveside memorial service will be held at 10: 30 a. m. Tuesday, Nov. 21, at the Bella Vista Cemetery in Bella Vista, Ark., with Pastor Dick Lindman. Arrangements are by Williams Funeral Home of Columbia, Tenn. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society or to a charity of the donor?s choice.
