Obituary

Verna E. Stratton, 72, retired Newton school teacher, died Friday (July 15, 2005). Survivors include: a daughter, Donna L. Haley of El Dorado; two sisters, Hilda Schmidt of Portland, Ore., and Eileen Shultz of Wichita; and two brothers, Wilbur Neufeld of Buhler and Orville Neufeld of Wichita. Public viewing will be all day Wednesday at Jackson's Mortuary in Wichita. Burial will be 10 a.m. Friday at Hesston Cemetery.
