Obituary

Tammy E. McDermed, 33, nurse, died Thursday (April 18, 2002) at Newton Medical Center.

She was born Sept. 11, 1968, to Marlo and Wilda (Fast) Becker in Newton. They survive of Halstead. She married Ronald D. McDermed Aug. 17, 1994, in Mexico. He survives of Hesston.

She was born in Newton and grew up in Halstead. She earned her associate's degree in nursing from Hesston College and was employed at the Newton Surgery Center.

Other survivors include: a son, Brady McDermed of the home; a daughter, Madison McDermed of the home; a brother, Darin Becker of Overland Park; and a grandmother, Viola Fast of Halstead.

Funeral service will be 3 p.m. Sunday at Garden Mennonite Church in rural Moundridge with the Rev. David Norris officiating.

Burial will be in Hesston Cemetery.

Miller Funeral Home in Hesston is in charge of the arrangements.
