Obituary

Pauline (Polly) Lillian (Patton) Miller passed away on Thursday (Jan. 20, 2011). She was a lifetime resident of Newton.

Polly was born on Jan. 25, 1915, at Axtell Hospital to William and Lillian Patton. She managed the snack bar at the Axtell Christian Hospital for many years until her retirement. She was very active in the First Christian Church of Newton.

She is survived by daughters, Paula (Jack) Swickard of Littleton, Colo., and Monica (Karl) Svaty of Wichita; three granddaughters; and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband of 60 years, Lucius Clay Miller; a sister, Dorothy Richter; and brothers, Lane, Gerald, Richard and Leonard.

Graveside services will be held in the early summer. The date will be announced for those who would like to attend. Petersen Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements
