W. E. Whitesell, father of Elmer Whitesell of Newton, died early today at the Baptist Memorial hospital in San Antonio, Tex., according to word received by relatives.
Mr. Whitesell was the son of the late Robert E. and Elizabeth Whitesell and was born September 12, 1864 in Ellsworth, Ill. He was preceded in death by his wife, Martha E., in 1939, and by a son, Atrthur paul,who was killed in World War I. The Whitesell-Finnell post of yhe Veterans of Foreign Wars is co-named after the son.
Survivors include a daughter, Mrs.Charles J. Fehr of San Antonio, the son, Elmer of Newton. Funeral services will be conducted at the First Methodist church in Newton, Wednesday afternoon at 3:00. Burial will be in the family lot in Greenwood cemetery.
