Obituary - Fulton
Margaret F. Fulton was born in Meade County, Kentucky, January 16, 1831, and died at Sedgwick, Kansas, December 16, 1913 (typo., should be 1912), aged 81 years and 11 months.
She was converted to the Christian faith in her youth and lived and earnest, sincere Christian life until the end. In the year 1848 she was united in marriage with George Flora. Of this union two children were born, D. R. Flora, of Louisville, Kentucky, and R. W. Flora, of Sedgwick township. December 21, 1854 she was married to Joseph B. Fulton. Of this union eight children were born, three of whom died in youth. One son, J. J. Fulton died some two years ago. The others, Rachel, William, James and E. B., together with one brother and one sister and a host of relatives and old-time friends remain to mourn her loss. All the children except D. R. Flora were present at the funeral. The husband, Joseph B. Fulton died nearly a quarter of a century ago.
The family came to Kansas in the early days and have always resided in the vicinity of Sedgwick. Mother Fulton was a kindly woman of many virtues and lived to a ripe old age before passing to her reward.
Funeral services were held at the Christian church Wednesday afternoon at 2 o'clock, conducted by the pastor, J. W. Umphres, and interment was made at Hillside cemetery."

The 1910 census shows Margaret, age 77, living with her daughter Rachel Barnes in the town of Sedgwick, Harvey County, Kansas. This census also states that Margaret was the mother of 10 children, 6 living.
