Obituary

Virginia L. Pauls, 95, passed away on Thursday (Feb. 3, 2011) at Buhler Sunshine Home.

She was born on May 22, 1915, in Lehigh, the daughter of Jacob J. and Tina Schroeder Unruh. On April 24, 1943, she married David W. Pauls in Buhler. He passed away on Feb. 21, 2007.

Survivors include one daughter, Joan (Alden) Dick of Buhler; two grandchildren, David (Bonnie) Dick of Lynden, Wash., and Karla (Bill) Knechtel of Buhler; and five great-grandchildren, Gabriel and David Knechtel, and Kristin, Dennen and James Dick. She was preceded in death by one son, James Harvey; one brother, Edwin; and two sisters, Lydia Geis and Grace Friesen.

Friends may call from 2 to 8 p.m. Tuesday (Feb. 7) at Buhler Mortuary, with the family present from 6 to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday (Feb. 8) at Buhler Mennonite Brethren Church. Pastors Alden Dick and Ken Adrian will officiate. Burial will follow at Buhler Cemetery. Memorials may be sent to Buhler Sunshine Home in care of Buhler Mortuary, 120 N. Main, Buhler, KS 67522.
