Obituary

Mr. Winch was a man who was very highly respected among the citizens of Strong City where he had lived for the past nine years. He was a member of the city council at the time of his death and had been for several years. He was born in Pennsylvania in 1859 and came to Kansas in his early manhood. In 1888 he married Miss Maggie Albright at Newton. They moved to Strong City nine years ago when Mr. Winch was in the water service of the Santa Fe. He quit that and bought the Strong City dray business and has continued in that business for the past seven years. His wife and two daughters survive.
