Winch, Margaret

After the death of her husband, which occurred on May 14, 1905, at Strong City, Mrs Winch took up nursing. She proved to have a special aptitude for this kind of work and in such a beautiful and wonderful way did she give herself to the ministry of healing, that being very conscientious and always doing her part to the full and indeed even more than could properly be expected, she suffered a physical breakdown from which she found it impossible to recover. Truly of her, it might be said that she gave her life in service of others.
She died in Newton on December 21 at 4 o'clock in the afternoon while visiting her daughter, Mrs. Walton. Her age was 62 years, five months and thirteen days.
She had three daughters,Asenath Louise [Mrs. Leon Walton], Clara Lee [Mrs. Keith Doane] and Margaret Fay, who lived only a few months.
