Obituary

Lola L. Miller, 78, died on Wednesday (Feb. 9, 2011) at Memorial Home in Moundridge.

She was born on April 25, 1932, to Dan J. and Martha Stucky Goering near Castleton. She was an elementary school teacher, receiving a teaching certificate from Bethel College.

She married Leo L. Miller on Aug. 15, 1952, in Pretty Prairie. He died on Jan. 3, 2004. Survivors include one son, Steven (Marcia) Miller of Hesston; two daughters, Rochelle Augspurger of Bloomington, Ill., and Marti (Doug) Tuck of Erie; one brother, Don (Sherry) Goering of Hugoton; one sister, LaVera (Phil) Ayers of Portland, Ore.; 12 grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 2 to 8 p.m. Thursday with the family present from 6 to 8 p.m. at the Moundridge Funeral Home. The committal service will be at 10 a.m. Friday in the Eden Mennonite Church Cemetery in rural Moundridge, followed by a memorial service at 11 a.m. at the Eden Mennonite Church. Memorial donations are suggested to MCC Family Global Program or the Memorial Home, both in care of the Moundridge Funeral Home.
