Luther Norman Luttrell, 76, 601 SE. 3rd, died Saturday evening at Bethel Deaconess Hospital.

He was born Sept. 14, 1897 in Comanche, Okla., the son of Mr. and Mrs. George W. Luttrell.

He married Laura Alice Wilson, Sept 22, 1923, in Wichita. The couple moved to Newton in 1941 from Caldwell. He was a retired Newton City Water Department employee. Mr. Luttrell was a member of the 1st. United Methodist Church.

Survivors in addition to the widow of the home, include; two daughters, Mrs. Donovian (Neva Jean memorial #25774995) Stubby and Mrs. Calvin (Normajean) Supernois, both of Newton; two sons, Norman Alvin, El Dorado, and Melvin Luther, Newton; one sister, Mrs. Illa E. Stringer Verona, Mo.; 10 grandchildren and 1 great-grandchild. One daughter, Eva Jean, preceded him in death.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday in Petersen Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jon Jones officiating. Burial will be in Greenwood Cemetery.
