Obituary

Calvin L. Supernois, 75, died Thursday (Jan. 25, 2001) at Newton Medical Center.

He was born May 21, 1925, to Joe M. and Mollie (Walters) Supernois in Newton. They preceded him in death. He married Normadean A. Luttrell June 9, 1946. She survives.

He was a member of Salem United Methodist Church. He was a lifetime member of the VFW and the American Legion. He loved to travel and was a member of the Sunflower Fan Club Travel Group. He also was a member of the Kansas Bluegrass Association. He was a lifetime Newton resident and a World War II Army Veteran.

Other survivors include: a son, Jerry Supernois of Newton; a daughter, Kay D. Supernois of Newton; a sister, Jerry Collier of Shell Knob, Mo.; and five grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 1 to 9 p.m. Saturday and from 1 to 9 p.m. Sunday with family greeting friends from 1 to 3 p.m. at Petersen Funeral Home.

Graveside service will be 2 p.m. Monday at Greenwood Cemetery in Newton with the Rev. C. Kent Rogers officiating.

Memorials have been established with Salem United Methodist Church in care of the funeral home.
